A few mistakes with this one. Blew past the layout line when chopping the tail waste. You can’t see it too well, but the fit of the top pin is very lose on both faces.

There is a huge gap on the baseline on the tail board. I seem to make some mistakes chiseling out the waste and didn’t get a square base. I also marked the tails a little steeper, although that didn’t seem to matter much.

Way too loose today. I need to study again.

Missed yesterday; too busy at work to get to the shop. Today’s dovetail was very tight – so tight that I split the pin board when trying to bang the joint apart!
Steve that’s coming along great!
My teacher who cut dovetails for 60 years always said they’re never the same twice and you never stop having to fix them.
Learning to repair minor mistakes is a skill in itself.
Keep up the practice cause you’re getting it.
